Welcome to Club:Sandwich
Plus the Condiment Gift Guide!

Hello Friends and Sandwich Enthusiasts,
Welcome to Club:Sandwich -- your new home for sharing your love of sandwiches. Today, we’re kicking off a series of weekly challenges as we begin building what we hope will become the world's largest database of sandwich information. We're calling it the Million Sandwich Database, and we need your help.
How it works:
Should you choose to partake in the challenge (and we’ll know if you don’t), all we ask is that you:
1) Grab a sandwich
2) Snap a photo of it
3) Tell us about it through this form.
How was it? Where'd you get it? What were the toppings or condiments that made it shine? Did the construction of it leave you needing more napkins? Did it hit the spot or not? And anything else we need to know that you’re dying to tell us.
THIS WEEK’S CHALLENGE:
In honor of Thanksgiving, we'll gobble up a 🦃 turkey 🦃 sandwich (because everyone needs more turkey this week). Order it at a restaurant or make it on your own. Use pre-packaged deli meat or leftovers from the roast. Make it as simple or unique as you'd like. And if you're sick of turkey already or just don't eat it, surprise us with another type of sandwich. We can't wait to see your entries.
Some quick tips:
Upload whatever you’re eating. There are no rules for how simple, complicated, or singular it needs to be.
Take pictures that let us see what’s inside. Cross sections are one way to show off your stack ✅ Overhead shots of a top slice of bread will hide the goods ☹️
The more information you can give us about what you liked (or didn’t like) and the type of bread, toppings, condiments, etc -- the better the DB will be. But we'll take whatever you feel like sharing.

You might be tempted to try this take on a Turkey Cubano: Braised turkey neck, pastrami turkey breast, swiss cheese, pickles, dijon, mayo on toasted 7 grain.
We'll be back next week with a roundup of the sandwiches you submitted and a prompt for the next challenge.
Now, on to the GIFT GUIDE
Want to avoid getting stuck buying your loved ones yet another pair of Bombas slippers this year? Here are a handful of items you can use to stuff stockings, bequeath upon hosts, or buy for yourself to boost your sandwich game this holiday season.
Disclaimer: We don’t have any affiliate relationships with anyone. Not even Bombas. So if you buy any of this stuff we get absolutely nothing.
American Vinegar Works Wine Vinegars: You might actually catch more flies with this vinegar. Grab one that suits you and mix it with some olive oil, oregano, salt and pepper for a high quality addition to any Italian.
Burlap and Barrel Paprikash Mustard: This collaboration with Beth’s Farm Kitchen is a worthy addition to a variety of sandwiches. Adding a dollop to your egg and chicken salads won’t disappoint.
Cleveland Kitchen Spicy Kraut: We’ll admit you may get some weird looks if you drop a bag of sauerkraut into a family member’s stocking. They’ll understand once they top a sandwich off with this not-too-spicy fermented cabbage.
Central Grocery Olive Salad: We love the Muffulettas from Central Grocery. The star ingredient on them, in our humble opinion, is this olive salad. Lucky for you, you don’t have to go to New Orleans to pick some up. It goes great on tuna melts and so many other sandwiches.
That’s it for this week.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. We hope you’ll spare a moment to give thanks for what’s most important this week - a high-quality leftover sandwich!
