Good and Good For You?!
+ A Peek Inside the Million Sandwich Database
Welcome to 2025! It should be an amazing year for sandwiches, which, coupled with the typical New Year Resolutions associated with healthy living, got us thinking: What sandwich-based goals can enhance our lives this year?
We came up with three sandwich resolutions tied to the things people often include in their annual resolutions: Healthy eating, new experiences, and working out. How, you might ask, do these translate to sandwiches? Well…
Finding sandwiches that are good but also kinda good for you
Listing the new sandwiches we want to try this year
Creating giant sandwiches heavy enough to increase muscle mass when lifted to your mouth
First up, Healthy Sandwiches.

Anything called The Berkeley Special is obviously gonna have sprouts + hummus on it.
So far, the Million Sandwich Database is full of fatty fillings, cured meats, runny eggs, rich condiments, and delicious baked goods. They all look amazing and make me want to eat at least one a day—a great-sounding resolution, but perhaps not the most sustainable diet.
This week we'll start experimenting with some healthier fixings. How will we define that? We're not entirely sure, but we'll report back in the coming weeks with our results.
If you have any suggestions for great, healthy(ish) sandwiches, we’d love to hear about them. Make or get one and share it to the Million Sandwich Database . Please. For the sake of my cholesterol.
Only 999,925 Sandwiches to Go
As the MSD approaches 100 entries, we wanted to give you, the Club:Members, a way beyond our Instagram feed to see some of the great sandwiches you all have submitted.
Crunching the admittedly small numbers in the MSD, we can see that you generally love the sandwiches you're eating.
Only six entries came with the how-bad-can-a-sandwich-be rating of "It was a sandwich, I ate it."
About a third of them were self made by you, the true artists.
Europe is a sandwich destination with two cities on the board (Barcelona, Amsterdam)
And just one person suggested we use AI instead of listing ingredients.
Have a closer look to see the full range of submissions with pictures . Back with more next week!

Club:Sandwich is the world’s first ever members-only club for sandwich lovers (as far as you know). Together we discover, order, make, eat, and discuss sandwiches while building the largest, most comprehensive database of sandwiches ever. Grab or make a sandwich and then share it with us by adding it to the Million Sandwich Database. Uploading sandwiches will earn you points that have no value and cannot be used in any way.
